CANINE PHOTOSHOOTS
Your dog is so much more than a pet — they’re a best friend, a loyal companion, and sometimes, the soul who changed your life. Capturing the love you share, just as you feel it in your heart, is priority that is truly special.
My dog photography sessions focus on celebrating your dog’s unique personality and beauty, using soft, natural light at sunrise or sunset and beautiful outdoor settings. With over 20 years of specialized dog training, I know how to gently guide your pup into a variety of poses and action shots, always making sure they feel happy, relaxed, and loved throughout our time together.
Most sessions are done on leash for safety (I’ll take care of removing it in editing), and I welcome dogs of all ages and obedience levels — from playful puppies to wise seniors. Whether you want to capture your dog’s spirit, the bond you share, your family’s story, or even create promotional images for your dog-related business, I’m here to help you create memories you’ll treasure forever.
- L O C A T I O N S -
The landscape we choose will change the look and feel of your completed collection of images. If your dog is more comfortable at home, we can certainly photograph throughout your home property. If your dog is up for an adventure (on or off leash), Knoxville many dog friendly locations in that offer urban settings, trails or open areas to play. Here are a few of my favorite locations:
Favorite Places to Photograph You and Your Dog
In Town (easy, dog-friendly)
- World’s Fair Park, Market Square, Old City & Gay Street: Brick alleys, murals, and string lights for city-style portraits. Best for dogs who are comfortable around people, and early mornings are quiet.
- Lakeshore Park (West Knoxville): Open lawns, lake views, and historic campus buildings. Great for family and dog sessions.
- Sequoyah Hills Park & River Greenway: Big fields, tall trees, and water, with beautiful golden-hour light.
- Knoxville Botanical Garden & Arboretum (East Knoxville): Leashed dogs are welcome. Brick, stone, winding paths, and gardens make it especially photogenic. *require permit to photograph on site
- Fort Dickerson Park: A quarry overlook with a skyline view, perfect if you want something a little more rugged.
- Ijams Nature Center / Mead’s Quarry: Turquoise water, rock walls, and forest trails. Leashed dogs welcome. *parking fee according to Ijams
- Suttree Landing & Volunteer Landing: Riverfront views with the Henley Street Bridge and downtown as a backdrop.
- Concord Park (Farragut): Lakeside, with open space and a boardwalk.
- Also available as extra add-on: Studio set up in your home
- And of course your yard/fenced back yard is an option for the home-body pups
- Dog-friendly patios at breweries and cafes also make good backdrops. Many welcome dogs, we will need to check ahead if you have a favorite place in mind.

The Difference I Bring as Your Dog Photographer
Dogs have been my best friends for as long as I can remember. Each one teaching me invaluable lessons, unique to them just for me: patience, loyalty, how to live fully in the moment, and how to love without holding anything back (usually without a single word, and sometimes while stealing a sock).
Everything dogs taught me led me to spend time teaching people how to communicate and understand what their dogs are really trying to tell them, because dogs have a language of their own: the head tilt, the side-eye, the full-body wiggle when you walk through the door. My two Dalmatians are my partners in crime; they are keeping me fluent.
Whether your dog is a tennis-ball-obsessed goofball or a sweet, soulful old pal, I’ll bring patience, treats, and entertainment. No perfect ‘sit stay’ required. We’ll let your dog lead, and the best moments usually happen somewhere between the sniffing and the zoomies.
I want your photos to look and feel like your dog: the look you know by heart, the bond you feel so deeply, and the little quirks you never want to forget (even the ones that somehow still manage to get into the trash!).
Ready to get tails wagging? Contact me today to book your session.
I speak dog. I’ve spent years around dogs and teaching people how to communicate with them, so I know how to bring out the personality behind the wiggle.
Made for your dog. Whether you want a zoomie-filled romp at your favorite spot or a full creative concept, we’ll shape it around your dog’s energy and your story.
Quality. Polished, timeless images with the goofy, slobbery, soulful moments left in.
